THE WILD ANIMALS

 I have entered another design in yet another Threadless competition. This time it is a playful design meant for a kid or a kid at heart. I first thought of the design and sketched it out years ago and when I started playing around with Threadless I thought it would be a perfect fit for the company. The Challenge this time is for a Gap/ Threadless Collaboration on Clever designs. My design was all inspired by the idea of a 80's /90's rock band name The Wild Animals and there wild animals, haha well I think its cute! Hope you all enjoy it. FALL DESIRES

Fall is in the air! I love fall as I have stated before on this blog. I've waxed about the cool crisp air and the fall leaves in all there splendor, But I must confess that I love the color palettes of the clothes just as much. I am a FALL as they say, I am radiant in mustards and olive greens;)! I've always been fond of layering, scarves and boots and summer frowns on such things. If there where a place in the world where I could live  in 6 months of fall and 6 months of spring, with a weekend or two of winter and a weekend or two of summer, then that is where I would live. If such a place exist please leave a comment and let me know, my bags are packed and ready to go at a moments notice always! Were I flush with cash right now all in the image collection above would be coming along with me to this magic place of crisp air that craves cardigans and leather, leaves that make a crisp crunch under the foot of beautiful boots, and chill that requires scarves to keep you warm and elegant all at once. There are many sayings about best laid plans and life happened around them, but all I can say is I am back and hoping to have more time, confidence and tenacity to make this work! Check out some new design I did for the Threadless and Trina Turk design challenge! I researched vintage designs, and took the advice Trina Turk spoke of in the video along with the colors she mentioned and made about 6 designs which I narrowed down to three and now at last check there are two left!
